Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work German still Life With Peaches And Glass by Otto Scholderer for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,440.15). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otto Scholderer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stillleben mit Birnen und Weinglas in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 109,650.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit German still Life With Peaches And Glass von Otto Scholderer für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.440,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otto Scholderer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stillleben mit Birnen und Weinglas im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 109.650,00.
