Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work German Still Life With Peaches And Fig by Otto Scholderer. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 48,274.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Otto Scholderer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stillleben mit Birnen und Weinglas, which sold at auction in November 2012 for EUR 109,650.00.
