Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Decorative Arts and Contemporary Ceramics including Vintage Posters, which included the work Woman On Ostrich, Circa 1930 by Otto Poertzel. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,545.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Otto Poertzel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Butterfly Dancers, Circa 1925, which sold at auction in April 2011 for GBP 28,750.00 (€ 32,377.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Decorative Arts and Contemporary Ceramics including Vintage Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman On Ostrich, Circa 1930 von Otto Poertzel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.545,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Otto Poertzel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Butterfly Dancers, Circa 1925 beobachtet, die im April 2011 für GBP 28.750,00 (€ 32.377,45) versteigert wurde.
