Despite a disappointment, a good price for Otto Nielsen
When the work Africa By Sas by Otto Nielsen was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 127.50 (€ 142.43). Despite this disappointing result, Africa By Sas is the most expensive artwork by Otto Nielsen that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Otto Nielsen
Als die Arbeit Africa By Sas von Otto Nielsen im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 127,50 (€ 142,43) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Africa By Sas das teuerste Kunstwerk von Otto Nielsen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
