Auction result fails to reach estimate
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Interior with an old man by Otto Heinrich Engel for DKK 2,600.00 (€ 348.79). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 4,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otto Heinrich Engel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Friesische Braut vor einem Spiegel in May last year with an auction result of EUR 27,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Interior with an old man von Otto Heinrich Engel für DKK 2.600,00 (€ 348,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otto Heinrich Engel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Friesische Braut vor einem Spiegel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.500,00.
