Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work German the Start by Otto Dill for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,541.10). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Otto Dill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Villa Borghese, which sold at auction in December 2001 for EUR 25,870.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit German the Start von Otto Dill für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.541,10) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Otto Dill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Villa Borghese beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für EUR 25.870,00 versteigert wurde.
