Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life With Grapes, Peaches And A Lobster, All On A Marble Ledge by Ottmar Elliger the Elder was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 27,355.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ottmar Elliger the Elder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Lobster On A White Porcelain Platter With Grapes And A Partly-Peeled Lemon, A Nautilus Cup, A Roemer And Façon-De-Venise Wineglasses, On A Stone Ledge, With A Snail And A Butterfly in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 158,500.00 (€ 215,235.38).

Die Arbeit Still Life With Grapes, Peaches And A Lobster, All On A Marble Ledge von Ottmar Elliger the Elder kam im Dezember 2014 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 27.355,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
