Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Otakar Nejedlý could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Czech Avant-Garde Art from the Roy and Mary Cullen Collection auction, the work Czech Homage To Picasso (Pocta Picassovi) changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 785.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otakar Nejedlý achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bathing girls, India in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 19,700.00 (€ 27,585.10).
