Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Oswald Garside could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British & Continental Watercolours including Original Book auction, the work Neath The Shade Of The Whispering Trees changed hands for GBP 293.75 (€ 416.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oswald Garside - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Goatherder In A Wooded Landscape, which sold at auction in December 2003 for GBP 705.00 (€ 998.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Oswald Garside konnte im Dezember 2003 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British & Continental Watercolours including Original Book wechselte die Arbeit Neath The Shade Of The Whispering Trees für GBP 293,75 (€ 416,06) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 400,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Oswald Garside mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Goatherder In A Wooded Landscape beobachtet, die im Dezember 2003 für GBP 705,00 (€ 998,54) versteigert wurde.
