Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Croci viventi by Osvaldo Licini was sold in the Thinking Italian Milan auction at Christies in Milan in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 62,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Osvaldo Licini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Amalassunta Su Fondo Rosso Chiaro in April 2018 with an auction result of EUR 427,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Croci viventi von Osvaldo Licini wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Thinking Italian Milan bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 62.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Osvaldo Licini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Amalassunta Su Fondo Rosso Chiaro im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 427.500,00.
