Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Christies in London held the auction The Isabel Goldsmith Collection: Selected Pre-Raphaelite and Symbolist Art, which included the work Wooded landscape with figure by Oscar Törnå. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,956.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Oscar Törnå have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Motiv från Barbizon in June 2010 with an auction result of SEK 120,000.00 (€ 12,584.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion The Isabel Goldsmith Collection: Selected Pre-Raphaelite and Symbolist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wooded landscape with figure von Oscar Törnå zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.638,00 (€ 1.956,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oscar Törnå auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Motiv från Barbizon im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 120.000,00 (€ 12.584,82).
