Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A fisherman in his boat at sea by Oscar Björck was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 100,000.00 – 125,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 105,000.00 (€ 8,913.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oscar Björck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'I bildhuggarateliern' (In the sculptor's studio), which sold at auction in December 2021 for SEK 200,000.00 (€ 19,508.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A fisherman in his boat at sea von Oscar Björck kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 100.000,00 – 125.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 105.000,00 (€ 8.913,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Oscar Björck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'I bildhuggarateliern' (In the sculptor's studio) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für SEK 200.000,00 (€ 19.508,75) versteigert wurde.
