Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Parfums by Orlan was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in April 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Orlan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mosaique De Cartons D'Invitation Sur Brique, 2010 in March 2011 with an auction result of EUR 3,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Parfums von Orlan im April 2010 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 300,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Orlan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mosaique De Cartons D'Invitation Sur Brique, 2010 im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.800,00.
