This artwork by Orfeo Tamburi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in May 2003. In the ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA auction, the work Paesaggio urbano sold for EUR 2,728.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Orfeo Tamburi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Motivo a Montparnasse in May 2001 with an auction result of ITL 14,700,000.00 (€ 13,908.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 82 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Orfeo Tamburi erzielte im Mai 2003 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA wurde die Arbeit Paesaggio urbano für EUR 2.728,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Orfeo Tamburi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Motivo a Montparnasse im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 14.700.000,00 (€ 13.908,93).
