Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2002 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Ottomans and Orientalist, which included the work The merry-go-round of love by Oreste Cortazzo. The price achieved of GBP 14,100.00 (€ 21,809.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oreste Cortazzo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Masterpiece Revealed, which sold at auction in June 2010 for USD 80,500.00 (€ 65,495.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Ottomans and Orientalist durch, in der auch die Arbeit The merry-go-round of love von Oreste Cortazzo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 14.100,00 (€ 21.809,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Oreste Cortazzo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Masterpiece Revealed beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für USD 80.500,00 (€ 65.495,08) versteigert wurde.
