Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction The Greek Sale, which included this untitled work by Opy Zouni. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,926.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Opy Zouni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Abstract in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 27,204.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Opy Zouni zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.926,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Opy Zouni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Abstract im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 27.204,19).
