Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Magdalen by Onofrio Palumbo was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,889.16). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Onofrio Palumbo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Allegoria della Carità, which sold at auction in June 2004 for EUR 49,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Magdalen von Onofrio Palumbo kam im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 20.889,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Onofrio Palumbo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Allegoria della Carità beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für EUR 49.600,00 versteigert wurde.
