The work Allegoria della Carità by Onofrio Palumbo was auctioned at Christies in Rome in June 2004. The price achieved of EUR 49,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Allegoria della Carità is the most expensive artwork by Onofrio Palumbo that we have observed at auctions so far.
