The work Ame (Rain), 1957 Hiroshima No Kawa (River In Hiroshima), 1966 by Ono Tadashige was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2005. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,640.00 (€ 2,035.62), 32% above the upper estimate. Other works by Ono Tadashige have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,429.94) in May 2011 for the work Unknown.
