Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Showa era (1926-1989), 1946 by Onchi Koshiro for USD 892.50 (€ 761.65). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Japanese and Korean Art at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Onchi Koshiro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bijin Shiki (Beauty in Each Season) in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,669.40).
