Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Olwyn Bowey could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work At the edge of the fields changed hands for GBP 717.00 (€ 1,083.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Olwyn Bowey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gardener's World in July this year with an auction result of GBP 15,360.00 (€ 17,920.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Olwyn Bowey konnte im Juli 2004 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit At the edge of the fields für GBP 717,00 (€ 1.083,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Olwyn Bowey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gardener's World im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.360,00 (€ 17.920,46).
