Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work Girl talk by Oliver Rhys. The price achieved of EUR 10,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oliver Rhys - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Venetian Fruit Seller, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,166.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl talk von Oliver Rhys zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Oliver Rhys mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Venetian Fruit Seller beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.166,49) versteigert wurde.
