Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A beached fishing vessel in a rocky cove by Oliver Rhys was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2000. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 517.50 (€ 846.85). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oliver Rhys achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Venetian Fruit Seller in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,166.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A beached fishing vessel in a rocky cove von Oliver Rhys kam im Februar 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 517,50 (€ 846,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oliver Rhys erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Venetian Fruit Seller im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.166,49).
