Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Oliver Gollancz could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART auction, the work Cat; Birds Nest, Unframed changed hands for GBP 240.00 (€ 352.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oliver Gollancz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Abstract Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 660.00 (€ 969.62).
