Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work The Magician by Oli Epp was worth HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 105,707.73) to a buyer in May 2021. This price was achieved in the auction 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Oli Epp; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Love Song sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of GBP 176,400.00 (€ 208,986.36).
