Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Baby with Dragon by Olga Marie Polunin was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 21,675.00 (€ 2,411.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Olga Marie Polunin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madonna and Child – Under the Lace Veil, 2010 in March 2019 with an auction result of HKD 100,625.00 (€ 11,417.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Baby with Dragon von Olga Marie Polunin wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 21.675,00 (€ 2.411,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Olga Marie Polunin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Madonna and Child – Under the Lace Veil, 2010 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 100.625,00 (€ 11.417,55).
