Vintage silver bromide print. With an inscription in Japanese on the reverse reading 'title, work by Ogawa Gesshu, Guarantor, Gesshu's nephew, Eitaro Tanaka' in ink and Eitaro Tanaka's signature seal in red ink on label affixed to the reverse.

In May 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction The Discerning Eye: Property from the Collection of Eric Franck, Part I, which included the work 'Modern Girl', C. 1925 by Ogawa Gesshu. The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,594.16) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Ogawa Gesshu have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2010 the work Modern Girl was auctioned for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,676.24).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Discerning Eye: Property from the Collection of Eric Franck, Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Modern Girl', C. 1925 von Ogawa Gesshu zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.594,16) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Ogawa Gesshu konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2010 die Arbeit Modern Girl für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.676,24) versteigert.
