Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Il grande cobra by Novello Finotti was auctioned at Il Ponte in June 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,900.00 – 2,400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Novello Finotti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Non ci indurre in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 10,280.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Il grande cobra von Novello Finotti im Juni 2015 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.900,00 – 2.400,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.800,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Novello Finotti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Non ci indurre im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.280,00.
