In September 2009 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Lilla Bukowskis S189, which included the work Sjöjungfrun by Norman Prescott Davies. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 25,000.00 (€ 2,448.74), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Norman Prescott Davies have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Grecian Muse in April 2003 with an auction result of USD 16,730.00 (€ 13,623.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im September 2009 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Lilla Bukowskis S189 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sjöjungfrun von Norman Prescott Davies zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 25.000,00 (€ 2.448,74) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norman Prescott Davies auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Grecian Muse im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.730,00 (€ 13.623,78).
