Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,589.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Kirkham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life with mandolin, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,457.47).
