Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction Art for Maggie's: Everyone's Home of Cancer Care, which included the work Sketch of Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen’s Typewriter Eraser Scale X Sculpture at Norton Museum of Art, Palm Beach by Norman Foster. The price achieved of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,533.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Norman Foster have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Early And Rare Table in February 2019 with an auction result of GBP 6,500.00 (€ 7,582.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Art for Maggie's: Everyone's Home of Cancer Care durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sketch of Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen’s Typewriter Eraser Scale X Sculpture at Norton Museum of Art, Palm Beach von Norman Foster zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.533,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norman Foster auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Early And Rare Table im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.500,00 (€ 7.582,48).
