Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Norman Blamey could be acquired at Sothebys in London in March 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Nude changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,355.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Norman Blamey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Confession and Absolution in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 16,312.50 (€ 17,987.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Norman Blamey konnte im März 2008 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit Nude für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.355,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norman Blamey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Confession and Absolution im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.312,50 (€ 17.987,18).
