Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vor der Zeit (Bamian) (Before Time (Bamian)) by Norbert Schwontkowski was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Auction auction at Sothebys in Cologne in April last year. The price achieved of EUR 30,240.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 26,000.00 – 36,000.00. Admittedly, works by Norbert Schwontkowski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work „The Battle“. in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 175,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vor der Zeit (Bamian) (Before Time (Bamian)) von Norbert Schwontkowski wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Auction bei Sothebys in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 30.240,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 26.000,00 – 36.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norbert Schwontkowski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit „The Battle“. im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 175.000,00.
