Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2000 Christies in London held the auction WORKS OF ART FROM THE WERNHER COLLECTION, which included the work The Triumph of Galatea by Noël-Nicolas Coypel. The price achieved of GBP 44,650.00 (€ 72,198.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Noël-Nicolas Coypel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venus And Her Companions, which sold at auction in January 2015 for USD 317,000.00 (€ 280,779.45).

Im Juli 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion WORKS OF ART FROM THE WERNHER COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Triumph of Galatea von Noël-Nicolas Coypel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 44.650,00 (€ 72.198,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Noël-Nicolas Coypel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Venus And Her Companions beobachtet, die im Januar 2015 für USD 317.000,00 (€ 280.779,45) versteigert wurde.
