Despite a disappointment, a good price for Noel Hubert Hopking
When the work Ducks In Flight by Noel Hubert Hopking was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2004, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 83.65 (€ 121.87). Despite this disappointing result, Ducks In Flight is the most expensive artwork by Noel Hubert Hopking that we have observed at auction so far.
