Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In the green hills of Lancashire by Noel Harry Leaver was sold in the British & Continental Watercolours & Maritime Paintings auction at Christies in London in March 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 540.00 (€ 794.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Noel Harry Leaver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An ancient Arab city in February 2000 with an auction result of GBP 5,520.00 (€ 9,033.04).
