In September 2008 Christies in London held the auction Exploration and Travel, which included the work "The Trough" East Rongbuk Glacier, Mount Everest (north side), 1924. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,844.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate.
