In March 2003 Christies in New York held the auction AN IMPORTANT COLLECTION OF JAPANESE PRINTS, which included the work Niwa no kiku Oyuki fu (Chrysanthemum garden, Oyuki style) by Nishimura Shigenaga. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,585.00 (€ 3,288.99), 43% above the upper estimate. Other works by Nishimura Shigenaga have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 4,541.00 (€ 4,596.62) in September 2002 for the work Seta no sekisho (Sunset at Seta).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.585,00 (€ 3.288,99) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Nishimura Shigenaga haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.541,00 (€ 4.596,62) im September 2002 für die Arbeit Seta no sekisho (Sunset at Seta) beobachtet.
