The work Kitao Masayoshi (1764-1824) by Nishimura Shigenaga was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2009. The auction ended at the price of GBP 500.00 (€ 547.19), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 450.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Nishimura Shigenaga have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seta no sekisho (Sunset at Seta) in September 2002 with an auction result of USD 4,541.00 (€ 4,596.62).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Kitao Masayoshi (1764-1824) von Nishimura Shigenaga kam im November 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 500,00 (€ 547,19) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 450,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nishimura Shigenaga auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seta no sekisho (Sunset at Seta) im September 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.541,00 (€ 4.596,62).
