Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Madre E Figlio by Nikos Kessanlis was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in January 2012. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,266.99). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nikos Kessanlis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trees in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 132,441.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Madre E Figlio von Nikos Kessanlis wurde im Januar 2012 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.266,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nikos Kessanlis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trees im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 132.441,09).
