Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reclining Nude And A View Of Bakhchisarai by Nikolai Petrovich Glushchenko was sold in the Russian Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,446.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Nikolai Petrovich Glushchenko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition (Two Nudes) in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 97,500.00 (€ 111,034.31).
