Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Deep Thoughts by Nikolai Ovchinnikov was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 13,860.00 (€ 16,532.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nikolai Ovchinnikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work K.S.V. No.4 in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 54,500.00 (€ 68,465.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Deep Thoughts von Nikolai Ovchinnikov wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 16.532,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nikolai Ovchinnikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit K.S.V. No.4 im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 54.500,00 (€ 68.465,52).
