In April 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Ruins of A Chinese Fort by Nikolai Konstantinovich Rerikh. The »bidding war« ended at USD 313,000.00 (€ 201,053.44), 74% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nikolai Konstantinovich Rerikh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tsong-Kha-Pa, From The Series Banners of The East, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 856,000.00 (€ 678,073.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 74 % übertroffen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ruins of A Chinese Fort von Nikolai Konstantinovich Rerikh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 313.000,00 (€ 201.053,44) und damit 74% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Nikolai Konstantinovich Rerikh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tsong-Kha-Pa, From The Series Banners of The East beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 856.000,00 (€ 678.073,51) versteigert wurde.
