The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 216,000.00 (€ 171,102.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nikolai Konstantinovich Rerikh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tsong-Kha-Pa, From The Series Banners of The East, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 856,000.00 (€ 678,073.51).
