Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Russian Into The Blizzard, 1873 by Nikolai Sverchkov. The price achieved of USD 553,000.00 (€ 355,215.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Other works by Nikolai Sverchkov have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2004 the work Emperor Alexander II And Kaiser Wilhelm I In A Carriage With A View Of The Peter-Paul Fortress, St. Petersburg was auctioned for GBP 341,250.00 (€ 490,886.28).
