Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Interior from a living room with paintings and engravings on the wall by Niels Holsøe for DKK 4,000.00 (€ 537.00). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Niels Holsøe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior with engravings on the walls, Thorvaldsen's figure “Cupid Triumphant, Examining His Arrow” on the chest of drawers, and sunlight on the door in March this year with an auction result of DKK 70,000.00 (€ 9,393.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Interior from a living room with paintings and engravings on the wall von Niels Holsøe für DKK 4.000,00 (€ 537,00) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Niels Holsøe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interior with engravings on the walls, Thorvaldsen's figure “Cupid Triumphant, Examining His Arrow” on the chest of drawers, and sunlight on the door im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 70.000,00 (€ 9.393,86).
