Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction Nineteenth Century European Art Including Russian Pictures, which included the work A coastal road, Sorrento by Nicolò de Corsi. The price achieved of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,944.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolò de Corsi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tramonto in costiera, which sold at auction in December 2001 for ITL 14,700,000.00 (€ 13,212.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art Including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A coastal road, Sorrento von Nicolò de Corsi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.944,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolò de Corsi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tramonto in costiera beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für ITL 14.700.000,00 (€ 13.212,00) versteigert wurde.
