A top price for Nicolas-Pierre Loir - as previously expected
The work The Triumph of Bacchus by Nicolas-Pierre Loir was sold in the Old Masters auction at Christies in New York in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 87,500.00 (€ 77,214.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Triumph of Bacchus is the most expensive artwork by Nicolas-Pierre Loir that we have observed at auctions so far.
