Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Un lugar para vivir by Nicolás Leiva. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,758.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolás Leiva - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Niñez perturbada, which sold at auction in November 2001 for USD 30,550.00 (€ 34,103.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Un lugar para vivir von Nicolás Leiva zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.758,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolás Leiva mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Niñez perturbada beobachtet, die im November 2001 für USD 30.550,00 (€ 34.103,59) versteigert wurde.
