This artwork by Nicolas Lachtropius achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2003. In the Important Old Master Paintings auction, the work Roses, peonies, tulips and other flowers, in a glass bowl standing on a veined marble slab, the corner which is covered in a plum-colored silk drapery sold for USD 35,850.00 (€ 33,383.00) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolas Lachtropius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stillleben mit Blumenvase und Insekten, which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 99,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nicolas Lachtropius erzielte im Januar 2003 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings wurde die Arbeit Roses, peonies, tulips and other flowers, in a glass bowl standing on a veined marble slab, the corner which is covered in a plum-colored silk drapery für USD 35.850,00 (€ 33.383,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Lachtropius mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stillleben mit Blumenvase und Insekten beobachtet, die im November 2016 für EUR 99.200,00 versteigert wurde.
